Anne paints women with quirky hair and a 'look' that is both familiar and at the same time unreal. She creates tension between realism and imagination, beauty and power, sorrow and pageantry. Symbolism conveys the emotional state of her chararcters or the plight of the women in our contemporary culture. Kitsch appears not far from her mind as she pushes the boundaries of reality.
Graduating in 2015 with an Associated Degree in Visual Arts from Adelaide Central School of Art, Anne has since exhibited regularly in SALA, Fringe and group exhibitions.
In 2019 she was awarded the Emerging Artist Award at the St. Ignatius Art Show as well as one of her works was selected to go on a billboard to promote the Art Show.
Anne is a member of the Campbelltown ArtHouse and the Red House Group.
She continues to develop her drawing, painting and jewellery skills through private tuition and workshops |
